Our Own English High School for Boys, Sharjah

The school follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, for Grades 1 to 12. The academic programme is structured across Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, and Secondary/Senior levels, with a focus on 21st-century skills in the higher grades. The curriculum is supported by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and is designed to prepare students for national-level examinations.

The school prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) at the end of Grade 10 and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) at the end of Grade 12. Graduates go on to attend universities in India and across the globe. The school has been recognized as a Common Sense School for its commitment to digital citizenship and has received the Generation Global Outstanding Award.

The school maintains an open admissions policy and welcomes students from around the world. The process is managed online, and registration for the 2026-27 academic year is currently open for most grades, subject to approval from the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA). A non-refundable, non-transferable fee of AED 500 is required upon acceptance of an offer to confirm enrolment.

The academic year is divided into two semesters. The first semester runs from 30th March 2026 to 9th October 2026, and the second semester spans from 13th October 2026 to 31st March 2027. Scheduled breaks include a summer vacation from 6th July to 30th August 2026 and a winter break from 14th December 2026 to 3rd January 2027.

Located in the Juwaiza’a area of Sharjah, the school operates from a brand new, purpose-built campus designed for primary, secondary, and senior secondary boys. The facilities include high-tech learning tools and state-of-the-art educational resources intended to create an engaging and inspiring environment. The campus is equipped to meet the specific requirements of students across different age groups.

The school offers a variety of extra-curricular activities, school clubs, and community involvement programmes designed to support student development.
