TASIS Portugal is an international school founded in 2020 as part of the global TASIS family, offering a rigorous, American-style academic experience for students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Programmes

The academic program utilizes four primary frameworks: the Core Knowledge sequence (PK–Grade 8) for language arts, history, and geography; Singapore Math (K–Grade 8); Next Generation Science Standards (K–Grade 8); and the Cambridge IGCSE (Grades 9–10). The high school culminates in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for grades 11 and 12. The curriculum is further enriched by instruction in coding, logic, music, chess, and public speaking.

Outcomes

The school is authorized by the Portuguese Ministry of Science and Education and holds a CEEB code (916614) for university applications. Students achieve strong results in international assessments, with 96% of IGCSE candidates earning grades of A* to C in six or more subjects. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12.

Admissions

About the campus

Located in Sintra, the campus is a renovated, purpose-built facility featuring modern classrooms, expansive common areas, and abundant natural light. Facilities include two libraries, a full-size theater and a smaller sustainable theater, music rooms, art studios, a gymnasium, and outdoor play spaces including a turf field and courts. The campus is subject to ongoing enhancements to support innovative teaching and community needs.
