St. Joseph Mary College

The school aims to form competent and responsible individuals capable of living in society while upholding universal principles. It emphasizes the development of solidarity, critical thinking, and human values such as effort, responsibility, and perseverance, while encouraging students to build their own life projects within a pluralistic environment.

The school offers a bilingual education from early childhood through secondary school, with primary students attending in a double-shift format that balances instruction in English and Spanish. The curriculum incorporates core subjects, informatics, music, art, and physical education, alongside specialized preparation for international exams including Trinity College GESE, Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and Cambridge English qualifications (B2 First, C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency). Additionally, Portuguese is taught to students in the fourth through sixth grades.

Applications for admission are processed through the administration office. Prospective families must submit a completed registration form along with required documentation, including identification, health and vaccination records, birth certificates, and a school transfer certificate. Enrollment is subject to limited availability.

Located in the Cantegril neighborhood of Punta del Este, the 17,000 m² campus features 12,000 m² of green space, two synthetic grass fields, and a 440 m² indoor gymnasium equipped for basketball, football, volleyball, and handball. The facilities include dedicated classrooms for early childhood, primary, and secondary levels, as well as a science laboratory, computer rooms, an art studio, a canteen, and a dining hall. A dedicated primary school building, expanded in 2014, provides thirteen classrooms and administrative offices.
