St. Robert Catholic High School integrates the teachings of Jesus Christ into its daily curriculum and social fabric, guided by the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations. The school’s faith life is supported by an active pastoral team and a chaplaincy team that coordinates prayer services, classroom liturgies, and retreats. The school emphasizes service, relationships, and the Word of God, with Catholic symbols displayed throughout the campus.

The school offers a comprehensive curriculum across various departments, including Arts, Business, Canadian and World Studies, English, Mathematics, Moderns (French), Religion, Science, and Technology. Specialized pathways include the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, which features Standard and Higher Level courses in subjects such as Economics, Business Management, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The school also provides an English as a Second Language (ESL) program and various courses that support workplace, college, and university pathways.

The school provides a dedicated Special Education Department that offers a range of programs, services, and support resources to assist students with unique learning needs. Additionally, the school hosts a vibrant community of English Language Learners (ELL) and provides accommodations, such as extra time, to support their success. Guidance services are also available to assist students throughout their educational journey.

St. Robert Catholic High School is a capped school, and registration for out-of-boundary students who are not from feeder schools is not accepted for the academic program. The school maintains separate application processes for its general academic program and its International Baccalaureate (IB) program, with specific registration procedures for both current York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) students and non-YCDSB students. Prospective families are invited to attend annual open house events to tour the facility and learn about the registration process.

The school operates on a daily schedule from 8:30 am to 2:28 pm, with a warning bell at 8:25 am. The day is divided into four periods, with three staggered lunch sessions occurring during the third period. Professional Activity (P.A.) days are scheduled throughout the year in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.

The campus accommodates approximately 1,550 students and features a variety of specialized learning spaces, including a chapel, a garden, two gymnasia, and a dome-covered soccer field. Academic facilities include four science labs, two computer labs, two business labs, one math lab, and two music rehearsal halls. All classrooms are equipped with internet access, and the school maintains a library learning commons.

Students have access to a wide range of clubs, councils, and athletic teams, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, slow-pitch, rugby, and baseball. The school also encourages participation in various academic competitions, such as the Pascal, Cayley, Fermat, and Euclid mathematics contests, as well as the York Region Science Fair, York University Science Olympics, and the Ontario Biology Competition. Additionally, students may engage in student leadership opportunities and community service hours.
