The school is built on a foundation of Positive Education (PosEd), a whole-school approach that prioritizes wellbeing, character development, resilience, and emotional intelligence. It aims to inspire students to thrive with purpose by blending academic rigour with innovation and a commitment to nurturing the whole child.

The school offers a comprehensive academic journey from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through Primary and Secondary to the Sixth Form. Academic pathways include A-levels, BTECs, and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). Signature programmes are integrated into the curriculum, covering areas such as STEAM and Design Thinking, Financial Literacy, Enterprise and Mini MBA, Performing Arts, and a Global Language Programme.

Sunmarke consistently achieves high academic results across IB, A-level, BTEC, and GCSE qualifications, with students frequently outperforming global averages. Graduates secure placements at top-tier universities worldwide, including institutions such as UCLA, Imperial College London, the University of Toronto, Warwick, and Michigan. The school is ranked 3rd among IB schools in the UAE and 74th globally.

The school operates an inclusive department that provides individual and group support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those requiring English as an Additional Language (EAL) support. This support is tailored to individual learning needs and progression, with additional individual needs support available for a fee.

The admissions process begins with a non-refundable application and assessment fee of AED 525. Upon receiving an offer, families must pay a non-refundable acceptance fee equivalent to 10% of the annual tuition, which is subsequently deducted from the first term's fees. Existing students are subject to a non-refundable re-enrolment fee of 5% of the annual tuition or AED 500, whichever is higher.

The school maintains an academic calendar that includes parent information sessions, such as transitions between year groups, and various sporting events like primary sports days. The calendar is accessible to parents via the school's digital platforms.

The campus features a range of specialized learning environments, including an IB centre, nine science labs, five design technology labs, and three libraries with media centres. Creative and performing arts facilities include a 400-seat auditorium, a black box theatre, four music labs, three fine arts studios, and TV and radio production studios. Sports and wellness amenities consist of a FIFA-standard football pitch, an Olympic-level indoor sports hall, and a zen garden for mindfulness.

The Fortes 360 Programme provides a wide range of enrichment activities, including drama, music, sport, public speaking, community service, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Students can participate in free, paid, and third-party extracurricular activities (ECAs) to build character and confidence. Additionally, the Fortes Pro Sports Academy offers a multi-tiered pathway from Year 2 to Year 13, featuring Olympian-led coaching and international competitions.
