The Duker Academy

The Duker Academy is a faith-based institution grounded in Christian values, focusing on character development, critical thinking, and social responsibility. The academic programme spans from Playgroup (12–24 months) through Early Years, Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE (Years 10–11), and A-Levels (Years 12–13). The curriculum integrates STEAM subjects through a partnership with TinkRworks, emphasizing robotics and technology. Students are required to complete capstone projects at the end of primary, lower secondary, and A-Level stages to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the school mandates a practical skills development programme (150 hours for Years 7–11) and internship placements (120 hours for Years 9–13) to bridge classroom theory with real-world professional experience.

The school accepts applications for students from Playgroup through Year 13. Prospective families are encouraged to contact the school via email or phone to begin the process, which includes completing an application form and participating in an entrance assessment for Years 1–10.

The academic year typically begins in September. The school hosts various events throughout the year, including Founders Day and UN Day, and conducts entrance assessments for prospective students.

The campus is located on George Amewuda St in Accra and features classrooms equipped with modern technology to support digital research and creative expression. The school maintains safety protocols, including a student sign-in/out system via SmartSapp and a partnership with the West African Rescue Association (WARA) for emergency response.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to foster student interests and life skills, including Chess, Bible Study, Robotics and Coding, Sewing, Soccer, Music and Dance, Photography, Newspaper and Yearbook, Arts and Crafts, and Swimming. These clubs are generally available to students in Years 1–10, with specific eligibility requirements for each activity.
