The school was founded in 1993 to provide an alternative to traditional schooling systems that it views as often unresponsive to modern challenges and restrictive of human creativity. Its mission focuses on the comprehensive intellectual and emotional development of its students. The school emphasizes an academic approach, opposing educational stagnation and aiming to foster an environment where individual potential is recognized and nurtured.

The school offers a secondary education path that includes the Polish Matura and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for students aged 16 to 18. The IB DP curriculum includes six subjects chosen from groups covering language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, experimental sciences, mathematics, and the arts. Students must also complete the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course, an Extended Essay, and the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) module. The school also provides a Pre-IBDP preparation track.

The school employs a school psychologist and a school pedagogue to provide support to students. Additionally, it offers professional career and university counseling services, including individual consultations to help students define their educational and career paths. Counselors assist with university application processes, including the use of platforms like UCAS, and organize meetings with university representatives and alumni.

The school begins its recruitment process in October for the following academic year. Admission decisions are made by the head of school following an interview with the candidate and their parents or legal guardians. Criteria include academic performance (a preferred average of at least 4.5, excluding subjects like PE, religion, and arts), conduct grades, and results from the eighth-grade exam. Final enrollment requires the submission of original certificates, a medical certificate, and the signing of a tuition contract. Priority is given to laureates and finalists of subject competitions organized by the Superintendent of Schools or accredited by the Ministry of National Education.

The school year is divided into two semesters, typically running from September to June. The calendar includes scheduled breaks for Christmas, winter, and Easter, as well as specific days off for national holidays and teacher conferences. Key events include graduation ceremonies for final-year students in April, Matura and IB DP final examinations in the spring, and regular parent-teacher conferences held on Fridays. The school also hosts events such as the European Day of Languages, Earth Day, and various student panels.

The school is located at 45 Karmelicka Street in Kraków, with additional premises at 25 Batorego Street. The campus includes classrooms, a gym, and administrative offices. Students participate in the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) module, which is a requirement for the IB Diploma Programme. Students engage in debating competitions, science camps, and various cultural and sporting events, including the Headmaster Cup Ski Competition. Additionally, the school encourages participation in subject Olympiads and tournaments, such as the International Chemistry Tournament.
