Wellspring Academy

Wellspring Academy is a Christ-centered community that integrates biblical values across all subjects and school culture. It views each student as a unique individual created in God's image, aiming to nurture their spiritual, mental, social, and physical aptitudes to bring glory to God. The school emphasizes a partnership between parents and teachers in the education of the child.

The school follows the Cambridge International Examinations curriculum across four sections: Kindergarten (KG1–KG3), Primary (Grades 1–6), Lower Secondary (Grades 7–9), and Upper Secondary (IGCSE Grade 10 and A-Level Grades 11–12). Instruction is primarily in English, with Kinyarwanda taught to honor local heritage and French introduced as a third language. Bible study is a compulsory subject integrated into the daily curriculum.

The school aims to raise a generation of godly servant-leaders who impact Rwanda and the world. Graduates are prepared through a rigorous Cambridge International curriculum, with the school reporting strong academic results and a focus on character development, spiritual maturity, and social responsibility.

The school employs a dedicated school counselor and a school chaplain to support the spiritual and social-emotional well-being of students. The environment is described as nurturing and inclusive, with a focus on small class sizes and personalized attention to student development.

The admissions process begins with an online application submitted during the month of May. Prospective students are required to sit for an entry test aligned with Cambridge International Assessment standards, covering subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. Due to limited capacity, the school maintains a waiting list for qualified candidates who cannot be placed immediately.

The school operates on an academic calendar that includes specific windows for admissions testing and term-based activities. The 2025-2026 academic year includes scheduled breaks and events, with the school year concluding in July.

The campus features three specialized science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, alongside a dedicated computer lab for ICT instruction. Additional facilities include a library, an art room, a music room, and various sports infrastructure, including two basketball courts, a soccer field, and a volleyball court. The school also provides primary play areas and covered sheds used for events and daily student gatherings.

Wellspring Academy offers a range of extracurricular activities designed to foster teamwork, physical fitness, and leadership. These include sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball, as well as arts and cultural activities, including the school's cultural troupe, 'amaraba'. Students also participate in regular devotions and assemblies.
