Admissions

The admissions process begins with an enquiry via email, phone, or attendance at an Open Event. Prospective families are encouraged to visit for a personalised tour or attend an Open Morning. Following registration, applicants participate in taster days or assessments; for Wrekin Senior and Sixth, entrance assessments are scheduled individually, with Sixth Form entry involving GCSE results and interviews. Acceptance fees are required to secure a place once a formal offer is made.

Calendar

The school operates on a three-term structure: Michaelmas, Lent, and Summer. The academic year includes scheduled exeats and half-term breaks for both day and boarding pupils. Key annual events include Speech Day in the summer and Open Mornings in the autumn and spring.

About the campus

The campus features extensive facilities including an Innovation Lab, IT suites, a library, and a purpose-built 200-seat theatre with tiered seating. Sports facilities include a six-lane 25m indoor swimming pool, two sports halls, a fitness suite, squash courts, Fives courts, indoor rowing facilities, and floodlit all-weather pitches, as well as cricket, rugby, and tennis/netball courts. Dedicated spaces for the arts include a Music School, individual music practice rooms, a dance studio, and an Art School.

Co-curriculars

Wrekin Prep offers the 'Horizons' programme, which includes activities such as cricket, tennis, coding, dance, and yoga. Wrekin Senior and Sixth provide a 'Character Adventure Training' programme, incorporating the CCF (Army and RAF sections), the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, and an employability curriculum. Music is a significant focus, with opportunities including a non-audition Chapel Choir that has achieved national recognition.
