Ahlia University is an autonomous, private institution established in 2001 with a vision to be a leading higher learning institution in the MENA region. Programmes
The university operates through five colleges: the College of Arts and Science, the College of Business and Finance, the College of Engineering, the College of Information Technology, and the College of Medical and Health Sciences. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including Bachelor’s degrees in fields such as Accounting & Finance, Computer and Communication Engineering, Interior Design, and Physiotherapy, as well as Master’s degrees in Business Administration, Cybersecurity Engineering, and Sustainable Management. Additionally, the university provides doctoral programmes, including Ph.D. options in Business and Financial Sciences and Digital Media and Communication Technology.

Admissions
Ahlia University welcomes applications from all students regardless of race, colour, gender, religion, nationality, or physical or learning disability. Admission is based on merit, and because places are limited for each programme, the university advises applicants to apply well in advance of deadlines. The admissions process complies with the rules and regulations of the Bahraini Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council.
Calendar
The academic year is structured into semesters, with specific periods designated for registration, add/drop, and final examinations. The university provides an auto-updating digital calendar subscription service for students to track academic deadlines, holidays, and events, alongside downloadable PDF versions of the academic calendar. Islamic holidays are determined in accordance with the Hijiri calendar and may be subject to slight variations.
About the campus
The university campus currently occupies a total building footprint of 10,386.35 square metres across two main buildings. The institution is actively developing a state-of-the-art campus to support its growth. The university also maintains a clinic and a library to support student needs.
