Assumption College Primary Section

The school aims to provide a well-rounded education that nurtures students within the "Assumption Family." It focuses on a bicultural approach, helping students achieve high standards in English while maintaining a strong foundation in Thai culture, thinking, and manners. The educational philosophy promotes curiosity, a love for learning, and the development of Western cultural understanding alongside Thai traditions.

The school offers a primary curriculum based on the Cambridge Framework, covering English, Mathematics, Science, Computers, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). This is supplemented by the Thai curriculum to ensure preparation for national O-NET tests. Additionally, the school provides a Health curriculum based on the Singapore model and a Physical Education program developed internally. Students learn three languages: English, Thai, and Chinese. Teaching methods include hands-on learning, projects, experiments, and extended writing.

Since the program's inception in 2002, graduates have progressed to top schools and universities in Thailand and internationally, including institutions in England, America, and China. Alumni have pursued careers in various fields such as medicine, engineering, software development, and business. The curriculum ensures students are prepared for the Thai O-NET national tests in Grade 6.

The school emphasizes a student-centered approach where teachers provide care and support to help students develop. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively, solve problems, and think independently to build 21st-century skills. The school environment is designed to be safe and welcoming, fostering a sense of belonging within the "Assumption Family."

The school accepts new students for Grade 1 in June or July each year. The application process requires contacting the administration office, submitting a completed form, and having the student complete an entrance test. Applicants must be able to read and write, demonstrate age-appropriate physical readiness, and be in good health. Required documentation includes a student photograph, a copy of the birth certificate, a copy of the household registration, and a baptismal certificate for Catholic applicants.

The school begins the process of accepting new Grade 1 students annually in June or July.

Located in the centre of Bangkok, the campus provides a clean, green, and modern environment. Facilities include specialized classrooms equipped with interactive boards for younger grades, a science lab, a library, and a Discovery Learning Centre (DLC) for Grades 1 and 2. Students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 utilize iPads for independent study, research, and project work.
