HEI Schools Bangkok is an international kindergarten and preschool that delivers the Finnish National Core Curriculum for children aged 18 months to 6 years. It focuses on research-based, play-based learning to foster a lifelong love of education.

Teaching approach

Guided by the 'HEI Way,' the school is rooted in Finnish early childhood education principles developed in partnership with the University of Helsinki. Its core values include curiosity and creativity, active participation, a culture of trust, a sustainable way of living, and the belief that learning happens everywhere and at all times. The pedagogy emphasizes purposeful play, child-led exploration, and the development of socio-emotional skills in a non-competitive environment.

Programmes

The school offers a multi-lingual learning environment where English is the primary language, with Thai and Mandarin integrated into the curriculum. The age-based classes include Pre-K (18 months to 3 years), K1 (3-4 years), K2 (4-5 years), and Pre-Primary (5-6 years). The curriculum is holistic, covering linguistic and mathematical skills, science, environmental education, and socio-emotional competence.

Learning support

The school prioritizes holistic development, focusing on both physical and emotional wellbeing. Teachers create an individual plan for each child to help them recognize their full potential, and they utilize a follow-up tool to track progression, strengths, and needs twice annually. Additionally, each child maintains a portfolio containing artwork, photographs, stories, and narratives to document their development.

Tuition & fees

No published fee schedule was found for this school.

Admissions

The school requires an application form, a copy of the child's birth certificate or passport and visa, a copy of the child's house registration (for Thai nationals), copies of parents' identification, a passport-sized photo of the child, and previous school reports if applicable. A non-refundable application fee of THB 2,500 is required. Submission of an application does not guarantee a place, and the school reserves the right to terminate enrollment if a child's needs exceed the school's capacity for differentiation or if behavior is disruptive.

Calendar

The academic year is divided into three terms. For 2025/2026, Term 1 runs from August 21, 2025, to December 12, 2025; Term 2 from January 6, 2026, to April 3, 2026; and Term 3 from April 21, 2026, to June 26, 2026. The school also offers a Winter Camp in December and a Summer Camp from late June through July.

About the campus

The school operates two campuses in Bangkok: the flagship Sukhumvit campus and the Ekamai Ramintra campus. The Ekamai Ramintra site is situated on over 3 rai of land, providing a natural, green environment designed for exploration and sustainability education. Both campuses are designed to be beautiful, nurturing spaces that encourage children to interact, explore, rest, and unwind.
