The school is guided by the philosophy of 'A Complete Education,' which aims to shape future generations of successful, visionary women. This approach balances academic rigour with extensive co-curricular opportunities and a strong emphasis on pastoral care, fostering curiosity, independence, and a less pressured atmosphere.

The school offers a progressive academic curriculum designed to stretch high-flyers and support all pupils. Students participate in the CREATE Diploma, a two-year programme for younger pupils (Upper Fourth/Year 8). The academic offering is supported by a wide range of subjects and a focus on preparing students for university and beyond.

The school achieves strong academic results, with 88% of A Level grades at A*-B and 79% of GCSE grades at Level 9-7 in 2025. In the same year, 85% of students gained their first-choice university. The school is noted for its 'Value Added' measure, which is among the top 7 per cent of schools in the UK.

The school provides dedicated support departments, including an IT department and a Medical Centre. Academic support is integrated into the curriculum, with a one-to-one coaching-style tutor programme for every student starting at age 11 to boost confidence, decision-making, and leadership skills. Additionally, the West Wing houses specific SEND teaching spaces.

The school welcomes applications for both boarding and day places. The admissions process includes entry assessments and open events, such as coffee mornings with the Headmistress and open mornings. Financial assistance is available through means-tested bursaries, and the school provides specific support for HM Forces and diplomatic families through the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) scheme.

The school operates on a three-term structure: Autumn, Spring, and Summer. Each term includes scheduled half-term breaks and 'Fixed Exeats' where the school closes temporarily. Boarders return to school the evening before the start of term, while day students return the following morning.

The 250-acre campus features extensive facilities, including the Centenary Hall (a 750-seat auditorium), the Sir David K.P. Li Music School, and a Science Centre with 14 laboratories and an anechoic chamber. Sports facilities include an all-weather pitch, a pavilion, 11 multi-use courts, and SPLASH, which houses a 25-metre swimming pool, gym, dance studio, and squash courts. The campus also includes multiple boarding houses, a theatre with a 300-seat auditorium, an eco-classroom, and the Eugenia Leung Libraries.

The co-curricular programme is a central pillar of the school, offering over 150 different activities. Provision includes sports such as lacrosse, hockey, tennis, netball, athletics, and rugby, as well as drama, Model UN, and music, with 500 music lessons provided weekly. Students also engage in community volunteering, with 129 hours devoted to such activities weekly, and participate in clubs like the student karting team, ACE Racing.
