CMIS offers a standards-based, American-style curriculum from Preschool to Grade 12, with instruction focused on active learning and inquiry. The Preschool follows the inquiry-based Creative Curriculum, while Grades K-5 utilize Common Core State Standards for literacy and math, alongside Next Generation Science Standards. The Middle School (6-8) focuses on core subjects and social-emotional learning, and the High School (9-12) provides a college-preparatory program featuring Advanced Placement (AP) courses and the AP Capstone Diploma.

The Student Success Department (SSD) provides learning support for students with diagnosed mild learning needs through direct in-class assistance, small group instruction, and one-to-one teaching. This support is coordinated through Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and involves collaboration between classroom teachers and Learning Support Specialists to help students participate fully in the general education curriculum. Additionally, the school employs a team of counselors who provide proactive, preventative support for academic, career, and personal/social development.

CMIS is an independent, non-profit day school serving students from Preschool through Grade 12. Prospective families are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office for assistance with the application process, which includes specific requirements for new student enrollment and documentation for reduced tuition categories.

The school year is divided into two semesters, with the first running from August to December and the second from January to early June. The academic calendar includes 180 instructional days, featuring a one-week break in October and extended breaks in late December and April.

The campus provides a friendly and relaxed environment that includes specialized spaces for learning and development. Facilities feature a library, cafeteria, and dedicated areas for arts, music, and drama, alongside sports and physical education spaces. Students are provided with laptops to support technology integration across the curriculum.

Student life at CMIS includes a variety of activities beyond the classroom, such as sports, clubs, and community service, designed to foster physical, social, and artistic growth. Students in Grades 8–12 participate in service learning projects, including working with local orphanages, teaching English, caring for animals, and assisting senior citizens. Additionally, the school hosts a local chapter of the National Honor Society and participates in events like National History Day.
