Kwanza International School

The school aims to be a highly valued and professional education institution in Tanzania and East Africa. It focuses on building a solid foundation for students by empowering them with a wide range of abilities through specialized learning, emphasizing experiment, investigation, and practical involvement over theory alone.

Kwanza Nursery School serves children aged 1 to 5 years, divided into age-specific classes including Baby, Green, Red, and Reception. Kwanza International School follows both the British National Curriculum and the Tanzania National Curriculum, with student performance assessed through the International School Assessment (ISA) and the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA). Classes for all levels run from 7:10 am to 2:00 pm.

Each class is led by a teacher supported by an assistant to help manage students and monitor their development. The staff consists of multi-national, mostly graduate professionals with relevant training and experience.

Prospective families can download joining forms directly from the school's website. The school maintains small class sizes, with a maximum of 25 students per class, to ensure individual attention and progress monitoring.

The academic year is divided into three terms. For the 2020/2021 period, Term I ran from late August to early December, Term II from early January to early April, and Term III commenced in April 2021.

The institution operates across two separate campuses in Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam, located approximately 1.5 kilometres apart. The facilities are maintained in a clean, serene environment, with specific sports wear required for physical activities.

Extracurricular activities are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Offerings include swimming, watching educational media, and various activities designed to foster a sense of community, alongside local and international school trips.
