The academic programme follows the Creative Curriculum® in Pre-KG and KG1, and AERO (American Education Reaches Out) standards aligned with the Common Core from Kindergarten through Grade 10. In Grades 11 and 12, students may pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme®. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), and is an authorized IB World School.

Dunecrest American School is a Pre-KG to Grade 12 college preparatory school. Prospective families are encouraged to contact the admissions office to schedule an appointment or tour. The application process includes a testing fee of AED 500, and successful applicants must pay a registration deposit—AED 3,000 for Pre-KG to KG2, and AED 4,500 for Grades 1 to 12—to secure a space.

The school operates on a schedule with tuition payments due in three installments: 40% by August 15, 30% by December 15, and 30% by March 15. The academic calendar includes various community events, such as weekly Dunecrest Parent Association meetings, and observes national holidays including Commemoration Day and National Day. The 8-acre, purpose-built campus is located near the Al Barari and Living Legends developments. It features naturally lit classrooms, open spaces for collaboration, and state-of-the-art technology integration.
