Programmes

The school is a fully authorized IB World School offering all four IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP). For the Career-related Programme, students undertake the International Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Business, which includes work experience opportunities in Grades 11 and 12. The school also offers a specialized French A program for native speakers and a comprehensive Arabic language program that incorporates both IB and Ministry of Education (MOE) curricula.

The academic year typically runs from late August to early July, featuring scheduled breaks for midterms, winter, and spring, alongside public holidays subject to government confirmation. Administrative offices are open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

    Richard has over 35 years of experience in education, having held senior leadership roles in the UK, Australia, and the UAE. He has worked for Taaleem for sixteen years and became Principal of Jumeira Baccalaureate School in August 2015, later being promoted to Taaleem Executive Principal in June 2022. He holds a bachelor’s in education, a master’s in Sports Science, and is the current chair of the UAE Association of IB World Schools.
