Founded in 1966 by local families, the school operates as a non-profit foundation with a commitment to public service and a student-centred, holistic educational model. It aims to foster a sense of belonging to the local community while maintaining an international vision, encouraging students to become open-minded, multicultural, respectful, and committed individuals capable of transforming society. The school employs a distributed leadership model, utilizing 'Verticals'—departments that ensure the transversality of learning across languages, mathematics, sciences, arts, technology, and physical education.

The school offers a comprehensive educational pathway starting from Pre-School, continuing through Primary and Secondary education, and culminating in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. The IB curriculum includes core requirements such as Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). Students select subjects from groups including Literature (Catalan, Spanish, and self-taught), English, Economics, Business and Management, Global Politics, Environmental Systems and Societies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (Analysis or Applications).
