The school offers a continuous educational path from kindergarten through primary school to secondary school (Lower and Upper Secondary). The curriculum is aligned with the German framework (Thuringia/KMK) and is taught primarily in German, with English instruction beginning in kindergarten. Arabic is taught to native speakers in kindergarten and as a foreign language from grade 1. In grade 5, students are assessed for their future educational path, leading toward either the Realschulabschluss or the Abitur.

The school is rated "Very Good" by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and is recognized as an "Excellent German School Abroad." Students graduate with the German International Abitur, which grants access to universities worldwide, including institutions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Students may also earn the German Language Diploma (DSD I), certifying B1-level proficiency.

The school provides targeted support through the DaF/DFU concept (German as a Foreign Language/Subject Instruction in German) to improve language competence. An English Intensive Program (EIP) is available for students from preschool through grade 4, offering courses for newcomers with limited English proficiency and advanced learners preparing for Cambridge qualifications. Additionally, school social workers provide individual counseling and support for personal, social, and academic matters.

The school accepts applications for kindergarten and school-age students, with specific forms available for download. A lateral entry program facilitates the integration of non-German-speaking children at various grade levels. Emirati students may enroll from kindergarten onwards through the H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Scholarship program.

The school operates on a full-day schedule, with office hours from Monday to Thursday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Friday (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Academic calendars for 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 are provided for administrative planning.

The campus features modern infrastructure, including a cafeteria providing healthy meals, a library, and a medical station. The school operates a bus service with two schedules and designated zones to support student transportation.
