Jakarta Montessori School

The school follows the authentic Montessori Method, emphasizing self-discipline, independence, and freedom with responsibility. It aims to foster a love for learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while encouraging a tolerance and appreciation for all cultures and traditions. The environment is designed to support the child's social, emotional, physical, and linguistic development.

The school offers an integrated curriculum across five levels: Toddlers (18 months–3 years), Early Childhood (3–6 years), Lower Primary (6–9 years), Upper Primary (9–12 years), and Secondary (12–18 years). The academic programme covers core subjects such as Mathematics and Language, alongside a broad range of topics including Science, History, Geography, Biology, and Physics, often introduced through narratives. Afternoon sessions and co-curricular activities include Physical Education, Dance, Music, Art, Bahasa Indonesia, Religious Studies, PSHE, and computer skills.

The school manages admissions through a formal process that includes the submission of application forms, a pre-registration form, and a guided tour of the facilities. Prospective families are offered a one-day trial class to determine if the programme is suited to the child's needs. Admission decisions are made by the administration staff, and a non-refundable registration fee is required for each level upon enrollment.

The school operates Monday through Friday, with daily hours varying by level: Toddlers (8:30 AM – 12:00 PM), Early Childhood (8:00 AM – 14:30 PM), Lower Primary (8:00 AM – 14:45 PM), Upper Primary (8:00 AM – 15:00 PM), and Secondary (7:30 AM – 15:30 PM). The school office is open from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The purpose-built campus in South Jakarta features large, spacious classrooms equipped with complete sets of age-appropriate Montessori materials. Specialized facilities include a computer lab, library, art studio, music suite, multi-function room, kitchen, and a first aid room. Outdoor areas provide students with access to grassed spaces, basketball and futsal courts, and gardens for planting vegetables and flowers.
