Jayakarta Montessori School

The school follows the Montessori philosophy, emphasizing self-directed, non-competitive activities to build confidence and problem-solving skills. The school offers developmentally appropriate programs for children from 16 months to 6 years old, divided into Toddler (16 months to 3 years), Preschool 1 (3 to 4 years), Preschool 2 (4 to 5 years), and Prep-1/Kindergarten (5 to 6 years). The curriculum utilizes specialized Montessori equipment and maintains an adult-student ratio of approximately 4:1. Instruction is conducted in English, with a focus on sensorial, language, and cognitive development.

The school offers a flexible admission policy allowing children to enroll at any time, with fees prorated accordingly. The application process requires the submission of three forms, family identification documents, and the child's immunization records. Prospective families are encouraged to book a visit, which includes a free trial session.

The campus features a large main atrium for exploration, an outdoor playground with climbing structures and sandboxes, and an indoor playground for inclement weather. Specialized learning spaces include a library, a computer room equipped with educational software, and a first aid room. Classrooms are air-conditioned, air-purified, and organized with authentic Montessori materials imported from Neinhuis Montessori, Holland.

The school provides various group activities designed to foster socialization and teamwork, including storytelling, drama, puppet shows, yoga, singing, and games. A weekly flag ceremony is held on Mondays. Additionally, the school offers an afternoon care program.
