Kirakira Kids International Kindergarten

Kirakira Kids is committed to a bilingual Japanese and English learning environment that utilizes Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP). The school focuses on active involvement with the environment to support cognitive, cultural, emotional, language, physical, and social development. It emphasizes early second-language acquisition to foster positive cultural attitudes and future opportunities.

The curriculum is structured around five core areas of development: human and social relationships, health and physical development, language literacy for communication, expression and presentation, and inquiry and environment awareness. The school serves four groups: the Hiyoko group (N1/N2, ages 1.5–3, English only), Ahiru (K1, ages 3–4), Koala (K2, ages 4–5), and Panda (K3, ages 5–6). Each grade is divided into two classes with a maximum of 40 students per class.

The school provides specialized care for students with food allergies, including the provision of alternative meals. Each class is staffed by one Japanese teacher and two to three English teachers to support the bilingual learning environment.

Enrollment is open for four grades, with applicants required to submit passport copies, work permits, and family photographs. A key requirement for admission is that at least one parent must be of Japanese nationality. The admissions process involves booking an interview, completing a school tour led by the Principal, and submitting a formal application.

The school operates on a three-term academic year. The calendar includes cultural and community events such as Tanabata, a Matsurida festival, Family Sports Day, and educational experiences like dental health checks and firefighter demonstrations.

Located in Bangkok, the campus is surrounded by greenery and features child-friendly playground equipment. The school provides two swimming pools, with a smaller pool for younger students and a larger one for older age groups. Additionally, a school bus service is available for students residing in specific areas of Sukhumvit.

The school offers after-school activities and theme-based camps. These programs are designed to complement the core curriculum and provide additional opportunities for student engagement and development.
