Lighthouse International School is a private, co-educational institution in Phuket, Thailand, serving students from nursery through to secondary school (ages 2–18). It is Thailand’s first Alberta Accredited International School, blending the Canadian Alberta curriculum with British Cambridge options and a focus on business and AI technology.

Programmes

The school offers a personalized learning journey using the British National Curriculum for ages 5–12 and the Alberta (Canadian) Curriculum for ages 12–18. The academic programme includes core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science & STEM, Social Studies, Physical Education, and Arts & Music. The Secondary division features a specialized Business Centre of Excellence with a focus on AI, entrepreneurship, and tech skills.

Outcomes

Students graduate with the internationally accredited Canadian Alberta Education Diploma, which is recognized by universities worldwide. The school also offers an optional Cambridge IGCSE pathway for students aged 14–16. These include a new artificial football pitch, covered sports courts, beach volleyball areas, and a state-of-the-art science laboratory. The Primary campus includes multiple rock-climbing walls, while the Secondary campus features a Business Centre of Excellence and an adventure centre with a skate and BMX track.

Co-curriculars

The school offers an extensive extra-curricular activity (ECA) programme designed to build skills beyond the classroom. Offerings include the APEX Lions Football Academy, which features a UEFA-A coach, as well as field trips, sports, and various clubs. The campus also hosts an adventure centre with a skate and BMX track, a giant sky trampoline, and facilities for basketball and badminton.
