The Global College

The school is built on five core principles: respect, diversity, entrepreneurship, humanities, and technology. It aims to prepare students for a global, digital, and enterprising future by fostering a "growth mindset," independent thinking, and cultural awareness. The educational approach treats students as young adults, encouraging them to take responsibility for their own learning within a community that values open discourse and mutual respect.

The school offers the two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. The curriculum is taught in English and includes core components such as Theory of Knowledge (ToK), the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS). Students also have access to extension programs, such as a mathematics initiative in collaboration with the University of Warwick, and an Entrepreneurship Project that addresses social and environmental challenges.

The school prepares students for admission to prestigious international universities in the UK, the US, Spain, and elsewhere. The IB Diploma is recognized as an entry qualification by leading higher education institutions, with many universities offering course credits or scholarships based on IB performance. Students do not need to present national university entrance exams in Spain, as they can validate their IB points for university access.

The school provides personalized education supported by tutors and academic guidance. Students work with mentors to develop their own voice, vision, and message, fostering confidence and responsibility for their own learning. The school also offers financial aid and merit-based scholarships to support talented students from diverse backgrounds.

The school seeks motivated students with the intellectual capacity and English proficiency to complete the IB Diploma Programme. The admissions process includes a review of academic transcripts, an assessment of core aptitudes in language and mathematics, and an interview with faculty members. Applications for boarding students are processed in two rounds, while day student applications follow a separate timeline, with rolling admissions considered if places remain available. Prospective families are encouraged to attend information sessions to meet the Headmaster and faculty.

The academic year is divided into two years of the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP 1 and IBDP 2). The daily schedule begins at 8:30 am, with individual timetables provided to students at the start of the year. Specific dates for each academic year are available through the school's online calendar.

Located in the Barrio de El Viso, the campus features 12 classrooms, 5 team discussion rooms, and specialized labs for biology, physics, and chemistry. It includes a technology and design hub, an art and creativity hub, a radio and digital media lab, and a filming studio. The campus also provides an open coworking space, a library with 20 individual research stations, a faculty lounge, and 1,000 square meters of green outdoor areas. International students have access to a newly refurbished residence within walking distance.

The school offers a range of creative, action, and service-based activities designed to develop well-rounded individuals. These include opportunities in visual arts, music, drama, dance, and design, as well as individual and team sports. Students are encouraged to participate in community and social service initiatives, which are integral to the school's commitment to fostering leadership and cultural awareness.
