Programmes

The curriculum is structured across three stages: Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) provides a broad experience based on National Curriculum requirements, while Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11) allows students to select from a range of academic and vocational courses, including GCSEs and BTEC Technical Awards. Post-16 students have access to a range of A-Level and vocational subject choices. Core subjects include English, Maths, and Science, supplemented by offerings in MFL, Humanities, PE, Performing Arts, IT, Business, and Art, Design and Technology.

Outcomes

Following a November 2023 inspection, Ofsted graded the school ‘Good’ for Attitude to Learning, Personal Development, and Leadership. Recent examination results indicate that the school is among the most improved in Coventry. The curriculum is designed to create clear pathways for students into further education, university, and apprenticeships.

Learning support

The Learning Support Team is responsible for identifying and addressing barriers to learning to ensure all students can succeed. The Director of Inclusion and SEND oversees these efforts, working to provide interventions that enable students to overcome challenges and access the curriculum. Admissions

Meadow Park School is a non-selective school that coordinates its admissions through the Coventry City Council. The standard admission number for Year 7 is 180 students, and the school also accepts in-year applications for families moving into the area. All new students receive monitoring and support during their first term to ensure a successful transition.

Calendar

The school operates on a three-term academic year. The 2025-26 academic year begins in early September 2025 and concludes on 17 July 2026, with scheduled breaks for autumn half-term, Christmas, spring half-term, Easter, and the May Day bank holiday. Teacher inset days are integrated throughout the year to support staff development.

About the campus

The campus features a large, purpose-built sports hall equipped with cricket nets, as well as a gym suitable for martial arts. Academic facilities include dedicated ICT rooms, food technology rooms, science and art rooms, and a theatre. The school also maintains a conference room and provides access to outdoor spaces.

Co-curriculars
