Saint Jude Catholic School

Saint Jude Catholic School is a Chinese-Filipino institution founded by the Society of the Divine Word, committed to proclaiming the Kingdom of God’s love through prophetic dialogue. It aims to provide a quality, relevant education that promotes discipline, human values, and holistic development. The school integrates Catholic Gospel values with the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage to cultivate responsible global citizens.

The school offers a complete K-12 curriculum, encompassing Early Childhood, Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior High School departments. It also provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for senior students. A core component of the academic offering is the mandatory Chinese language curriculum, which is integrated into the daily schedule alongside English-medium subjects.

The school provides support services through its Guidance Office, which facilitates student development and leadership training. A medical and dental clinic is available on-site to attend to the health needs of the students. Additionally, the school maintains a Prefect of Discipline and a Community Development office to support the holistic growth and conduct of the student body.

The school accepts applications for new students, transferees, and foreign nationals, the latter of whom must secure a study permit visa. Applicants undergo an assessment and a panel interview with head teachers and program chairs; those without prior formal Chinese education may be required to take a modular Chinese course. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), applicants must have a final average grade of 87% or higher, no grades below 80% in DepEd-prescribed or non-IBDP subjects, and a conduct grade of B or higher. Non-Catholic families are welcome provided they agree to respect and abide by the school's religious practices.

The school operates on an academic calendar that typically follows a standard school year structure, with specific dates for assessments and enrollment procedures communicated to families. The school year 2023-2024 calendar was officially released to guide the academic activities of the student body.

The campus features a range of specialized learning and support spaces, including computer, speech, and science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science). Athletic and arts facilities include a new gymnasium, a table tennis room, and a ballet room. The school also houses the Saint Arnold Janssen Science Center, a MakerSpace room, a library, a learning resource center, an audio-visual room, the Fr. Peter Yang, SVD Auditorium, and a chapel.

Students participate in various activities designed to foster leadership, camaraderie, and skill development, such as the "Reach for the S.T.A.R." leadership training program. The school also hosts events like school fairs, talent showcases, and sports competitions, including the "Ms. Sportstacular" and various quiz bees. Additionally, students engage in service-oriented projects, such as the IBDP Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) initiatives, which have included donations to local community schools.
