The school provides Early Years and Primary Education, with a curriculum delivered in a bilingual Spanish and English environment, with additional instruction in French, German, and Chinese. The academic programme is centered on the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The curriculum is enriched by "Learning Paths," a project-based methodology developed in collaboration with Harvard’s Project Zero that utilizes the city's cultural and historical surroundings.

The school prioritizes student well-being through an Institutional Well-being Project, which includes the use of RULER emotional meters to monitor student states. The admissions process is designed to understand the individual needs of each student and their family. It involves a request for information, an optional school visit, and an interview combined with an entrance test. Families must provide documentation including identity documents, birth certificates, and previous academic records via the MySEK platform.

The school operates from Monday to Friday, with extended opening hours from 07:30 to 18:15. The academic year follows a structured schedule, with specific dates and timetables provided for the 2025-2026 period.

Located in the Barrio de las Letras, the campus features flexible, open-plan learning spaces designed for collaboration. Facilities include a gym, two outdoor patios with a climbing wall, an audiovisual room with a film set, and a laboratory. Students also access the UCJC Sports Club in Villafranca del Castillo, which provides a 1,000 m2 sports court, tennis and fronton courts, basketball courts, a heated swimming pool, beach volleyball, and horse-riding facilities. Physical education is also conducted at the La Chopera sports centre in El Retiro park.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Passion Pursuits, which allow students to develop projects in art, technology, media, design, and social entrepreneurship. Other offerings include the SEK International Sports Academy, music programmes, Forest School, and White Week.
