Learning support

The Special Education Department provides four units for students with learning difficulties: Special Needs (ages 5–12), Learning Center (ages 5–12), Transition Education Center for High Functioning students (ages 12–18), and Transition Education Center for High Support students (ages 12–18). The department utilizes a combination of mainstreaming and special class instruction, with student-to-teacher ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:3. The curriculum includes academic and non-academic subjects, as well as vocational skills and internship programs for transition students.

Admissions

The school requires an Admissions Inquiry Form for initial contact, followed by a school visit. Applicants must submit academic records for the previous three years, medical/vaccination records, and relevant identification documents (birth certificates or passports/KITAS). The process includes an entrance evaluation or observation: Prep students undergo a trial, while Year 1–6 applicants take English and Mathematics tests. Year 7–12 applicants participate in an interview and English and Mathematics evaluations. Special Education applicants are placed on a waiting list and undergo an observation and full-day trial.

Calendar

The school operates on a standard academic year, with specific age-based placements for Prep Junior (4–5 years) through Year 6 (11–12 years). Middle and High School placements are determined based on the student's previous year level.

About the campus

The school is located on Jl. Paso in Jagakarsa, Jakarta. The campus features specialized units for its Special Education Department, including a Learning Center and transition centers. Prospective families are invited to take a campus tour to explore the facilities.

    Ibu Tasya has worked with special needs children for over a decade, serving as a teacher and coordinator before becoming the Head of the Department. She holds a Psychology Degree from the University of Indonesia.

    Ibu Retna Setyawati has extensive experience in human resources and general affairs, having worked in various corporate roles before joining Sekolah Cita Buana in 2008. She is currently pursuing a Graduate Program in Education Management at UKI.
