St George's College

St George's College promotes excellence, respect, and the holistic development of its students within a bilingual and international environment. It aims to foster autonomy, independence, leadership, innovation, and social commitment, preparing students to be global citizens and leaders of tomorrow.

The school offers a bilingual, full-day programme across three sections: Kindergarten, Prep School, and College. Kindergarten and Prep School follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), while the College integrates the national curriculum with the Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. The curriculum emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and a global perspective.

The school prepares students for higher education and future professional endeavours through a bilingual programme that integrates the national curriculum with international certifications. Students sit for Cambridge IGCSE exams and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

The school provides a dedicated School Counselling Team (EOE) composed of psychopedagogues, psychologists, speech therapists, and music therapists. This team supports students throughout their learning process and overall development.

The school accepts applications year-round for both the Quilmes and North campuses. The admissions process involves completing a contact form, submitting documentation, attending an informational interview and campus tour, and participating in a placement meeting. Admission is subject to the availability of places and an overall assessment of the applicant.

The academic year follows the Argentine calendar, running from late February to December. The year is divided into two terms with scheduled breaks, including one week in May, three weeks in July for winter break, and one week in September.

The school operates two campuses: the historic Quilmes campus, which includes boarding facilities, and the eight-hectare North campus in Los Polvorines. Both sites feature modern classrooms, science laboratories, libraries, and extensive sports and arts facilities, including swimming pools and outdoor areas. The Quilmes campus also maintains a museum celebrating the school's history.

Students participate in a wide range of artistic activities, including music, theatre, choir, art, and dance. Sports offerings include rugby, hockey, football, athletics, swimming, and cricket. Additionally, students may participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and an international exchange programme.
