St Mary’s is a Catholic comprehensive voluntary-aided school with a planned admission number of 210 pupils per year. Applications are managed by the Governors in accordance with criteria agreed with the Diocese of Shrewsbury and the Wirral Local Authority. Families are required to apply through the local authority admissions website by the 31 October deadline, with the option to submit a Supplementary Information Form if applicable.

The school operates on a standard academic year structure with term dates provided for 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027. Key dates include an annual Open Evening in September and a transition process for Year 6 pupils that extends through the spring and summer terms, culminating in a summer school programme.

The campus features a chapel, which serves as the heart of the school, and a well-stocked library to support literacy. Students have access to various sports facilities for activities such as athletics, basketball, and water sports, as well as dedicated spaces for drama and music.
