The Teresian School

Guided by the motto "Joy, Fortitude & Love," the school is a Catholic institution under the trusteeship of The Teresian Association. It emphasizes a holistic education that balances faith and knowledge, aiming to develop students who are confident, compassionate, and committed to justice and service to others.

The school provides a continuous educational path from pre-school through secondary school. The Pre-School follows the Montessori method integrated with the Irish Aistear and Síolta programmes. The Junior School follows the Irish Primary School Curriculum, supplemented by specialist instruction in violin, Spanish, drama, and computer literacy. The Secondary School offers a broad, balanced curriculum designed to prepare students for state examinations, supported by modern science and home economics facilities. Wrap-around care is available for younger students from 8 am to 6 pm.

The school reports strong academic performance, with 32% of the 2024 graduating class achieving 600 points or more in state examinations and 61% achieving 500 points or more. In total, the class secured 74 H1 grades across all subjects.

The school maintains a Pastoral Care Team that meets weekly to address students' learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs. In the Junior School, a Resource Learning Support Teacher provides early intervention for students requiring additional assistance in mathematics or reading.

Located on a 5-acre campus in Donnybrook, Dublin, the school features dedicated buildings for its Pre-, Junior, and Secondary divisions. Facilities include a multi-purpose astro turf sports pitch, student gardens, and a fully enclosed junior play area. The campus also houses the multi-purpose Jubilee Hall for sports and drama, the Victoria Diez Library, and, within the Secondary School, two science labs and a home economics room.

The school offers a broad range of activities to complement academic life, including hockey, basketball, athletics, tennis, and yoga. Students also participate in music, singing, drama, and debating, with opportunities for team sports and creative expression available before and after school.
