The academic programme begins with the Early Years Foundation Stage and progresses through the National Curriculum. The Pre-Prep curriculum emphasizes Numeracy, Literacy, and creative subjects. The Senior School and Sixth Form offer a challenging academic environment, including an Academic Enrichment programme, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and preparation for undergraduate study. UCS achieves high academic standards, with 92% of GCSE grades in 2025 at 9-7 and 94% of A-Level grades at A*-B. UCS is an academically selective school with entry points at Reception (4+), Year 3 (7+), Year 4 (8+), Year 7 (11+), and Sixth Form (16+). The school operates on a three-term structure: Autumn, Spring, and Summer. Terms typically begin in early September, early January, and mid-April, with half-term breaks in October, February, and May/June. The academic year concludes in late June or early July.

The UCS Foundation spans a 20-acre campus featuring a mix of historic listed buildings and modern facilities. Key resources include the Great Hall, the AKO Centre (library), the biophilic AKO Sixth Form Centre, the Lund Gallery, and the Lund Theatre.
