Vilnius International Meridian School (VIMS)

Meridiano licėjus is an innovative school that prioritizes the cultivation of values, the strengthening of character, and career development. The entire school community defines and implements core values that serve as essential guidelines for student development. The institution focuses on fostering leadership, social responsibility, and academic success through advanced teaching methods and interactive learning.

The school provides education in Lithuanian from pre-school through to grade 12, with the option to integrate the international Cambridge curriculum in English starting from grade 5. The academic programme is designed to develop critical thinking, creativity, and independence, and students completing the Cambridge pathway receive a globally recognized certificate. Additionally, the school emphasizes entrepreneurship and financial literacy through the Junior Achievement programme.

The school provides compensatory Lithuanian language lessons for students who are non-native speakers or who have returned from abroad. These lessons are specifically available for students in grades 0–4 to assist with their integration into the school's educational environment.

The school accepts applications throughout the year, provided there are vacancies, for students from pre-school through to grade 12. The admissions process includes a virtual tour, an open house event, the submission of required documentation, and a mandatory knowledge assessment test in core subjects. For grade 1, the school typically accepts up to 20 students, while the pre-school group is limited to 16.

The academic year is divided into two semesters, with the first semester running from September 1 to late January and the second semester concluding in May or June, depending on the grade level. The school calendar includes scheduled breaks for autumn, winter (Christmas and February), and spring (Easter). Students in grades 5–12 attend school on February 16 to foster a sense of citizenship.

The campus is located on M. Daukšos street in Vilnius and features a library and various spaces designed for student interaction and leisure. These include areas equipped for table tennis, table football, chess, and reading, as well as interactive play zones. The school also provides catering services for its students.

The school offers an extensive range of over 30 non-formal education clubs and activities to support student engagement between 8:00 and 18:00. Available options include the Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) International Award, the Junior Achievement entrepreneurship programme, a student parliament, and a journalism club. Students also participate in various competitions, Olympiads, and international projects, including a summer school programme in England.
