Winpenny School aims to provide a loving, caring, and harmonious environment that is both safe and secure. Its educational philosophy centers on developing curious, independent, responsible, and creative learners who are well-educated. The school emphasizes the importance of student wellbeing as a foundation for academic success and utilizes contemporary teaching approaches to prepare students for the 21st century.

The school follows a British-based curriculum, with Primary students (Grades 1–5) utilizing the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge Primary English, and Abacus Mathematics. In the Primary years, 70% of instruction is in English, while 30% is taught in Spanish, covering subjects such as PE, music, and social studies to ensure compliance with Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) requirements. Technology is integrated from Grade 2 onwards, with students using the Google Suite for Education. The school also offers Lower and Upper Secondary curricula, incorporating Personal, Social, and Health Education.

The school prepares students for Cambridge International examinations, with the first cohort sitting for these assessments in May 2019. The academic programme is designed to develop well-rounded, confident individuals who meet high academic standards. Graduates are expected to be curious, independent, responsible, and creative learners.

The school provides English Language Support and tutoring services to assist students in their academic development. A 'Circle Around the Child' approach is utilized to ensure individual wellbeing and success, supported by a buddy system and a focus on building values. Social and Emotional Learning is integrated into the curriculum, covering skills for learning, empathy, emotion management, and problem-solving.

Admissions are open throughout the year, subject to availability. The process involves an initial inquiry, a tour, and a formal evaluation of the child, which can be conducted on-site or at the student's current school for international applicants. Required documentation includes transcripts, recent grades, a letter of good behavior, and a completed recommendation form from the current school. Placement is determined by the child's age as of December 31st of the entry year.

Located in Cuajimalpa, Mexico City, the campus features 36 light-filled classrooms, a science laboratory, an art studio, and two music studios. Recreational and sports facilities include an all-weather football field, a basketball court, a library, an Early Years centre, a dedicated Kinder play area, and various patios and grassed areas. The site also includes a cafeteria to support the daily needs of the student body.
