The school is an IB World School accredited for three International Baccalaureate programmes, serving students from ages 3 to 18. The academic pathway includes Early Years, Primary Years, and Middle Years, where students can choose between the MY Certificate Pathway (IB MYP-based) or the MY Honours Pathway (incorporating IGCSEs). In the Diploma Years (ages 16–18), students pursue either the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the NEASC-accredited Amity High School Diploma.

The school provides a layered support network for students, including a qualified school counsellor for emotional support. Pastoral care is structured through a vertical House system and tutor groups of approximately 10 to 12 students, ensuring personalised guidance and monitoring. Furthermore, trained senior students serve as Wellbeing Ambassadors to promote positive peer culture and mental health awareness.

The school follows a structured admissions process requiring an online application, a €200 application fee, and the submission of documents including passport copies, three years of school reports, and specialist reports. Following an initial review by the Admission Panel, students may be invited for an age-appropriate assessment, such as an informal play session for Early Years or tailored academic assessments for older students. Upon receiving an offer, families must pay a €350 admission fee and a €2,500 refundable deposit within seven days to secure a place.

The school operates on a three-term academic year, typically running from late August to late June. Daily schedules vary by age group, with Early Years and Primary Years 1–3 starting at 8:25 am and finishing at 2:45 pm (earlier on Fridays), while Primary Years 4–5 and Senior School students attend from 9:00 am to 3:35 pm. The school office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm during term time, with reduced hours during holidays.

Located in Amstelveen, the campus is set within the surroundings of De Braak and features modern, flexible learning environments. The school provides state-of-the-art sports and arts facilities, a library, and dedicated spaces for various age groups. Additional campus services include an optional door-to-door transportation service, an after-school care programme, and on-site catering.

Amity offers a broad extracurricular programme designed to foster wellbeing, creativity, and leadership beyond the classroom. Activities include sports, arts, and music, with instrumental and singing lessons provided through a partnership with the Amstel International Music School. Additionally, the school provides a Forest School programme for younger students and unique opportunities through the global Amity network.
