Programmes

The school follows the British National Curriculum, offering a seamless educational journey from the Pre-Preparatory School (ages 2–6) through the Prep School (ages 7–12) and Senior School (ages 13–18). The Senior School programme culminates in IGCSE qualifications and a rigorous A Level pathway in the Sixth Form. Specialist teaching is introduced in the Prep School, with all subjects delivered by specialists by Year 5.

Outcomes

The curriculum leads to internationally respected qualifications, including IGCSEs and A Levels. Graduates have achieved exceptional academic outcomes, securing placements at top universities worldwide, including Oxbridge and Ivy League institutions. About the campus

Situated on an 80-acre campus, the school features state-of-the-art facilities including the Webb Ellis Sports Centre with multiple pools and basketball courts, a performing arts centre with a Black Box Theatre, and a senior science centre. The grounds include extensive playing fields, an athletics track, tennis courts, and a water sports training lake. Dedicated buildings serve each school section, including the Pre-Prep ‘Oval’, the Prep ‘Veraphan Building’, and the Senior ‘Siddhi Meta’ building, alongside three purpose-built boarding houses.

Co-curriculars

The school offers an extensive enrichment programme with over 300 activities available each week. These include sports, music, art, drama, and outdoor education, supported by facilities such as a performing arts centre, a water sports training lake, and an outdoor education centre featuring a zipline, high ropes, and archery. Boarding students also benefit from a premium Saturday enrichment programme and regular weekend excursions.

    Mr Bruce GrindlayPrincipal

    Bruce has been Principal of Rugby School Thailand since 2021. Previously, he served as Head Master of Sutton Valence School in the UK for 12 years and was Director of Music at Christ’s Hospital. He is a Cambridge-educated organist who began his teaching career at Christ’s College in Wales and Bedford School.

  • Ratchadaporn Jaikla (Kru Aoi)Thai Principal

    Kru Aoi began at Rugby School Thailand in 2019 as School Registrar and became Thai Principal in December 2024. She holds Bachelor and Master of Education degrees and has extensive experience in Thai education, including serving as School Director at Srivikorn School. She has received multiple awards for her work with the Territorial Defence Student Programme and as an outstanding teacher.

  • Ms Khemintra Karunyapaspong (Tuke)Chief Finance Officer

    Tuke joined Rugby School Thailand in 2019 and is responsible for all financial functions, including accounting, audits, corporate finance, and budgetary planning. She has over 20 years of experience in finance and administration across various sectors and holds a BA in Accounting from Assumption University and an MBA in Finance from Sacred Heart University.

    Virginia is a seasoned leader and board director with experience across for-profit, non-profit, and international development sectors. She has held senior roles in communications and media, including launching STAR TV across Asia, and currently serves on several boards. She also serves as the Clerk to the Governing Body.
