Gaelscoil Inse Chor

Gaelscoil Inse Chór operates under church patronage and integrates religious instruction and the celebration of sacraments, such as First Confession, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, into school life. The school emphasizes the Irish language, culture, and values of tolerance and understanding of other cultures. It aims to provide a challenging yet happy environment for its students.

The school provides a full primary curriculum taught entirely through the medium of Irish. Irish is the language of communication in the classroom, on the playground, during school trips, and at games. The school is currently developing its capacity by adding a second stream of students every two years to meet local demand.

The school aims for all students to reach their full potential in a happy and secure environment. A primary objective is for students to achieve fluency in the Irish language by the time they leave the school.

The school maintains a dedicated section for learning support (Tacaíocht Foghlama) and adheres to a 'Be Kind' (Bí Cineálta) policy to foster a supportive environment. It also implements a code of behaviour and maintains policies on data protection and child safeguarding.

The school follows a formal application process, requiring a hard copy of the application form, a birth certificate, and a utility bill as proof of address. For the 2025/26 intake, applications were accepted from September 30 to November 3, 2025, with notification of decisions issued by November 24, 2025. Late applications are considered in accordance with the school's admission policy.

The school provides a calendar listing all dates when the school is closed, which is also accessible via the Aladdin Connect app. Provisional dates for the 2026/27 academic year indicate a reopening date of August 27.

Located in Dublin 8, the school is situated near the Memorial Gardens and is within a five-minute walk of several historic sites. The campus includes nine classrooms to accommodate its 240 students. The school is also recognized as a 'Green School'.

Students have access to a variety of sports, including hurling, camogie, Gaelic football, swimming, soccer, rowing, Irish dancing, athletics, and basketball. Musical opportunities include learning the tin whistle, ukulele, guitar, and fiddle. Additionally, the school offers after-school activities such as Irish dancing, art, baking, yoga, and chess.
