The school offers a continuum of international curricula: students in Years 7–9 follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP); Years 10–11 follow British GCSE, IGCSE, or BTEC curricula; and Years 12–13 offer a choice between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or a specialised vocational pathway centred on BTEC qualifications. The MYP includes eight subject groups—Arts, Design, Individuals and Societies, Language Acquisition, Language and Literature, Maths, Physical and Health Development, and Sciences—and requires the completion of a Community Project in Year 9.

Graduates of KGV consistently attend top universities in Hong Kong and around the world. Located in Homantin, the campus features extensive sports, arts, and drama facilities designed to support both individual and collaborative learning. The school grounds include an outdoor main stage on the field, and classrooms are specifically configured to facilitate various group sizes and learning styles.
