Programmes
VSA is a through-train IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The primary section features a bilingual model where each class is taught by one English-speaking teacher and one Chinese-speaking teacher. The secondary curriculum is delivered primarily in English, supplemented by a strong Chinese language program, and focuses on developing higher-order thinking skills, adaptability, and social-emotional resilience.

Admissions
Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) is an inclusive, non-discriminatory school that welcomes students regardless of gender, religion, race, sexuality, or nationality. The admissions process evaluates applicants based on their potential to benefit from the school's education, their communication skills in English and Chinese, and their performance in entrance assessments for Mathematics and literacy. Priority is given to candidates with strong ties to the VSA community, including debenture holders, children of staff, siblings of current students, and graduates of feeder kindergartens. Applicants must be Hong Kong Permanent Residents or hold a valid visa.
Calendar
The school operates on a two-term academic year, typically running from late August to late June. Primary school hours are 8:25 am to 3:25 pm, and secondary school hours are 8:30 am to 3:40 pm, with early dismissal at 12:30 pm and 12:40 pm respectively on Wednesdays. The calendar includes scheduled breaks for the mid-term, Christmas, Chinese New Year, and Easter, alongside standard Hong Kong public holidays.
About the campus
Located in Aberdeen, the campus features specialized learning environments including facilities for Art, Music, Drama, Innovation and Technology, and Physical Education. The school provides a library and information literacy center and utilizes modern technology to support inquiry-based learning. Students in the secondary school are required to use a 1:1 MacBook for their studies.
Co-curriculars
VSA offers a wide range of co-curricular activities and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) clubs to support holistic development.
