Renaissance College Hong Kong is an independent, all-through IB World School providing English-medium education from Year 1 to Year 13. It is part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF) network.

Programmes

The school is authorized to offer all four International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Years 1–6, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Years 7–11, and both the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) for Years 12–13. Admissions

About the campus

The campus spans over 30,448 square metres and is located near the Heng On MTR station. Facilities include a swimming pool, four outdoor sports fields, two gymnasiums, drama and theatre rooms, a design hub, and art and science hubs. The school also features Red Door Centre learning technology zones and provides bus and cafeteria services.

Co-curriculars

Students participate in a wide range of clubs, societies, and teams, including sports, arts, and STEM workshops. Notable activities include the Black Kites athletic programme, Model United Nations (RENMUN), and student-led initiatives such as the Terry Fox Run and International Evening. The school also operates a House system comprising four houses: Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing.

    Dr. Harry BrownPrincipal

    Dr. Brown joined Renaissance College in 2009. He previously served in several roles in education, including IB teacher, DP coordinator, high school principal and deputy superintendent. He was born and raised in New York City but spent most of his career in Tampa Bay, Florida.

    Mr. Doucette has worked in Hong Kong since 2002 as an educator and leader in both kindergarten and primary settings. He is passionate about inquiry, concept-driven learning, 'learning to learn', wellbeing, learning diversity, and the sciences of learning. Originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada, he continues to cultivate sustainable and authentic approaches to nurture student growth.

    Mr. Wheeler joined Renaissance College in 2011. Before joining, he was the Head of Middle School at King George V School and previously taught at Hampstead School in London. He was born in Trinidad, West Indies, and is a keen musician who enjoys playing the bass guitar.

    Ms. Chan joined the ESF family in 2013 as an HR and Finance Manager of Renaissance College after working in the aviation industry and as an HR Officer at Harrow International School of Hong Kong. She is now the Business Manager overseeing all college operations, including finance and facilities, with a focus on wellbeing, DEI initiatives, and sustainability.

    Dr. Howdle-Lang was born in the UK and settled in Hong Kong after spending six years in the Middle East. Her doctoral research significantly contributed to understanding child wellbeing in educational settings, particularly within Hong Kong.

    Mr. Copley is originally from Sheffield, England, and has been teaching internationally for the last 13 years in both the Middle East and Mainland China. He has specialised in pastoral care and student wellbeing for the last decade.

  • Jenny ChenVice Principal Learning and Teaching

    Ms. Chen is originally from China and joined RCHK as the Head of Primary Chinese in 2021. With over twenty years of experience in education, she has actively contributed to the advancement of teaching practices and held leadership positions within the primary divisions of international schools.
