The campus is located in a semi-rural setting in Deep Water Bay, featuring modern classrooms equipped with interactive digital technology and wireless networks. Sports facilities include a spacious gymnasium with a rock climbing wall, multiple courts for badminton, netball, volleyball, and basketball, and a gym balcony with weight and cardio equipment. Arts and event spaces include a hall seating over 400 with professional sound and lighting, and "The SPACE," a multi-purpose venue for socialisation, classes, and events with a capacity of 250. Students have access to individual lockers, tutor group base rooms, and, for Years 12-13, a dedicated study facility and common room.

South Island School offers a wide range of clubs, societies, and teams designed to help students pursue passions and develop skills in teamwork, communication, and leadership. The school’s "Values in Action" curriculum includes sports, student-led councils, and community engagement initiatives.
