Founded in 1995, the Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK) is a co-educational day school for students from Reception to Year 12. It is the only school in Hong Kong to offer the Australian curriculum, providing a high-quality, balanced education within a uniquely Australian ethos.

Programmes

AISHK provides an all-through education from Reception to Year 12 based on the Australian curriculum. In the senior years (Years 11 and 12), students have the option to pursue either the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Admissions

AISHK is an inclusive, non-denominational school welcoming applications for students from Reception (age 4) to Year 12. Applications are accepted year-round for Reception to Year 10, while Year 11 and 12 entries are restricted. The admissions process involves an online application, document submission, and, for non-Australian curriculum applicants, a face-to-face assessment or interview. Priority is given to siblings of current students and Australian or New Zealand passport holders.

Calendar

The school operates on an Australian academic year cycle, running from late January to mid-December. This schedule aligns with the Australian school system.

About the campus

The campus is located four minutes from the Kowloon Tong MTR station and features a 25m indoor swimming pool, two full-sized gyms, and a 2000m² soccer pitch. Academic and creative facilities include nine laboratories, two art studios and workshops, a 240m² green roof acting as a living classroom, and a library housing 100,000 books. A 200m running track is also available on-site.
