Thai-Chinese International School

The school’s philosophy centers on the community's responsibility for the continued growth of each student. TCIS offers a PK-12 American curriculum based on the U.S. Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mathematics and English language arts. The high school program includes a rigorous Advanced Placement (AP) track, currently offering 11 courses that allow students to earn college credit. Instruction is delivered in English, with daily language instruction in Chinese (Mandarin) and Thai. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Thai Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China.

The school provides support for students through English Language Learner (ELL) programs and an Educational Intervention Program (EIP) for grades 5-12. Small class sizes allow teachers to differentiate instruction and provide individual coursework to meet the needs of diverse learners. The school also employs counselors to support the holistic, academic, and emotional development of students.

The school welcomes students from age 2 (PK2) through Grade 12. The admissions process includes an application, submission of legal and medical documents, interviews, and placement testing to determine appropriate grade levels and support needs. New students in PK-8 may generally enroll at any time during the school year, provided space is available. Prospective families are encouraged to schedule a campus tour, and the school offers a two-week free trial period.

The school operates on an annual academic calendar. Tuition fees are reviewed annually and are prorated for mid-semester enrollments. Detailed menu plans and specific academic dates are provided to the community throughout the year.

The campus is located in Samutprakarn, near Bangkok, and features separate facilities for elementary, middle, and high school students. The school utilizes technology throughout its classrooms, including Google-certified resources and devices. The campus also includes a canteen and library facilities.

TCIS offers a variety of After School Enrichment Programs (ASEP) covering academic, athletic, and enrichment activities. The school also hosts a Summer STEM Institute. Additionally, the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) project is integrated into the school's offerings to provide students with tools to resist high-risk behaviors.
