Seven Seas International School is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, sharing a commitment to improving teaching and learning through challenging, high-quality international education. The school emphasizes 'Transdisciplinary Learning,' where students explore integrated themes rather than isolated subjects to foster critical thinking, creativity, and real-world application. It also incorporates moral and emotional education to develop students into well-rounded international citizens who possess a 'good heart' and the ability to contribute to society.

The academic program is structured into three levels: beginner (A1), intermediate (A2), and advanced (B), with the latter utilizing elementary school-level textbooks. The curriculum integrates seven core areas—English, Math, Social Science, Art/Craft, Music, Park/Physical activity, and Concentration—through project-based, transdisciplinary units. Additionally, all students aged four and older receive violin instruction to enhance working memory, IQ, and cognitive processing.

Graduates have successfully transitioned to a wide range of prestigious Japanese private elementary schools, such as Aoyama Gakuin, Gakushuin, and Waseda Jitsugyo, as well as various international schools including St. Mary's and Nishimachi. Students achieve high levels of proficiency in English and mathematics, with many passing external examinations like Eiken and Suken at young ages. The curriculum aims to develop critical thinking, memory, and the ability to balance Japanese cultural manners with international perspectives.

The school employs a vertical class structure and a buddy system to ensure that new students, including those with no prior English experience, are supported by peers and integrated into the English-speaking environment. Individual growth is monitored through a proficiency analysis system, and personalized support is provided through data-driven after-school classes. Students are trained in concentration, posture, and classroom etiquette to facilitate their academic development.

The admissions process consists of six steps, beginning with attendance at an information session or trial class to receive application documents. Following the submission of the application, the school conducts an entrance selection process, which includes a test for the applicant and an interview with the parents to ensure alignment of educational philosophies. Successful candidates are then notified and invited to a briefing session regarding uniform fitting and other enrollment details. Parents' English proficiency is not a factor in the admissions decision.

The Tokyo main campus is located on the first floor of the Tokyo Tobari Building in Hamamatsucho, Minato-ku. The learning environment utilizes both analog materials and modern IT equipment, including video technology, to enhance subjects like geography and global studies. The school maintains an English-only environment, with exceptions made only for health issues, conflict resolution, or specific Japanese-language after-school lessons.

The school offers an academically-focused after-school program with three options: 'Make Up Class' for personalized support based on individual data analysis, 'After School Club' for supervised activities until 16:00 or 18:00, and 'Day Care' for flexible, short-term extension needs. These programs allow students to engage in activities such as private violin lessons, cooking, and Japanese lessons for private school entrance preparation.
